We at the ICTA applaud Greenlight, the company that produces a large line of 1/64 scale diecast automobile models. Over the last several years, Greenlight has launch a number of Checker prototypes, not just your typical New York City yellow cab, but a full line of Checker models in various genre.
The line consists of both Model A11 and A12 Checkers. Greenlight’s most recent model that hit the store shelves last week an A11 in the historically correct New York City green and yellow livery, a standard fair that could be seen in the city between 1958 till 1969.
A stellar model as one can see from the header photo, the accuracy is extremely good. Now its not perfect, but this writer can get past the wrong bumpers, wrong top light and Checker center logo, that should be green not red. Overall, its really sharp
In addition to taxicabs, Greenlight offers a UPS package car and 50th Anniversary Checker Marathon.
